1958年生まれ。
1979年 徳島県農業大学校 卒業。
同年4月上勝町農業協同組合へ営農指導員として入社。
1981年以降16年連続して農産物の売り上げを伸ばす。
1986年 彩を開発し、1991年特産品開発室長に就任。
山の資源を生かした商品開発で全国的な注目を浴びる。
1996年 上勝町に転籍。
産業情報センターと株式会社いろどりの責任者として彩をはじめ、特産品の企画販売を行う。
同年、高齢者が使える情報ネットワークシステムを開発。
2002年 役場を退職。
株式会社いろどりの取締役。
2005年 代表取締役副社長に就任。
2005年 4月21日放送の奇跡体験アンビリバボー「元気をあなたに…」では過疎と高齢化に悩む町を再生した再現ドラマが放送された。
テレビ、雑誌、新聞等の出演多数。

Born on September 28, 1958. Graduated from the Tokushima Prefectural College of Agriculture in 1979. Entered the Kamikatsu-cho Japan Agriculture Cooperatives as an agricultural advisor in April of the same year. For 16 years starting in 1981, worked to increase sales of farm produce. Develops irodori in 1986, and in 1991 becomes head of Special Product Development in 1991. Becomes noticed nation-wide for development of products utilizing mountain resources.
1996, moves to Kamikatsu-cho. Conducts planning sales of special products and irodori as manager of both the industrial information center and Irodori, Inc. In the same year develops an information network for the elderly.
2002, leaves current job. Becomes Director of Irodori, Inc. 2005, becomes Representative Director and Vice President of Irodori, Inc. 2005, on the April 21 "Kiseki Taiken Unbelievable (Miraculous Experience Unbelievable)" broadcast a program called "Genki o anata ni...," a drama about reviving a town worried about population decline and aging.
Appeared on TV, in magazines and in newspapers. NHK Shiten Ronten, Radio Shinyabin, TV Tokyo Cambria Ky?den, and more. 2007, Named by Newsweek as one of 100 social entrepreneurs who will change the world.
